LEARN: Animals Thriving at Ethiopia's Rescue Center

32514_Ethiopia.jpg

Born Free Foundation Ethiopia held its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, March 9, and the organization’s rescue center is developing magnificently! Rescued lions, cheetahs, primates, duikers, leopard tortoises, caracals, servals, and now an African gray parrot and eagle are being rescued, rehabilitated, and prepared either for release or a lifetime home at the hands of our dedicated caregivers. Two baby hyenas, whose mother was killed in the city, are being given bottles of milk under our country director’s watchful eye. So many lucky animals with a new lease on life….

THANK YOU: Update on Chinoise, the Rescued Chimpanzee

32514_Chinoise.jpg

In January, we told you about Chinoise, an infant chimpanzee who was confiscated from a restaurant in Cameroon, where she had been tied up and used as a photo prop. The Limbe Wildlife Center in Cameroon, supported by Born Free USA, took her in and provided expert care. We asked you, our members, to donate toward Chinoise’s veterinary care, medicines, and formula for the first three months of her rehabilitation. We are pleased to report that you helped Chinoise with more than $1,000: very close to our $1260 goal. Thanks to you, Chinoise grows stronger and happier every day.
