Following the death of Happy the elephant on May 26, only one elephant, Patty, remains at The Bronx Zoo. Like Happy, Patty has also lived alone for many years after she and Happy were deemed incompatible. As we mourn Happy's passing, we must renew our call to the zoo to rehome Patty to an accredited sanctuary where she can live out her days in dignity. Please write to Craig Piper, Interim Director of The Bronx Zoo, and urge him to send Patty to a sanctuary.
